Special Techniques
Changing color seamlessly:
To change colors, wait until you reach the point
where you want the new color to begin, and leave
2 loops on your hook. Then, wrap the new color
around the end of the hook, with about 5 inches
of yarn for a tail. Pull the new yarn through the
loops to start the color.
The nature of a single crochet stitch, the color
changes slant to one side. If you want it straight,
there are some things you can try to get rid of the
slanting colors.
- Work in the back Loop or front loop
- Change Your Yarn Over ( V-stitch ) to Yarn
under ( X-stitch ).
Bobble Stitch - YO, insert hook into stitch and pull up a loop.
YO, pull through two, this is essentially completing the first half of one double crochet stitch
(fig. 1 – 3). - Repeat number one in the same stitch until you
have a total of 6 loops on your hook (fig. 4). - YO, pull through all 6 loops at once. (fig. 5).
