I want to give you some information about this pattern;

materials;

Yarn:

All yarn is worsted weight (4). I use Brava Worsted Yarn from KnitPicks but any acrylic worsted yarn

will work.

-Black: 325 yards

-Green: 125 yards

-Dark Grey: 110 yards

-Light Grey: 65 yards

-Light Blue/ Dark Blue/White/Red/Brown/Beige: Less than 70 yards

Hooks: 4.25mm & 5.00mm

Sewing needle

Polyester stuffing

Pencil/Copper Wiring: used in broom handle for support

Two 15mm eyes for Wicked Witch, two 9mm eyes for Flying Monkey

Black embroidery thread

White foam sheet (3x3inch square) *OPTIONAL* can be substituted for embroidering with white

thread or white felt

Gauge: Not needed. Finished size will vary depending on tension of stitch and hook used.

Most finished dolls will be 15-17 inches on average.

For my dolls, I used a tiny circle cutout of white foam sheet or white felt as backing behind the safety

eyes. You can opt for no “white back” or embroider it along the outside of the eye with white yarn.

• Total number of stitches in round will be listed at the end of the round instructions in brackets.

• You can use Magic Circle in place of “Ch2, Xsc in 2nd ch from hook”.

• Unless noted in pattern, do not “overstuff”. Certain shapes and curves created by stitches are sometimes

lost to overstuffing

Rnd 4: sc in each st around (14)

*Switch to Red*

Rnd 5: (1sc, 1 drop st) x7 (14)

Rnd 6: (6sc, 2sc in next st) x2 (16). Tie off, hide remaining tail in stitches.

*After jacket is complete and placed on monkey, using red yarn, stitch the

top two corners of the jacket together to keep the jacket from opening*

Wings;

Using a 4.25mm hook

Working with Light Grey yarn in rounds (Make 2)

Note: Wing is comprised of 2 bottoms tips and 1 top tip. Make 2 bottom tips before creating top tip. Do not stuff.

Bottom Tip (Make 2 for each wing):

Rnd 1: Ch2, 6sc in 2nd ch from hook (6)

Rnd 2-4: sc in each st around (6) Tie off.

Top Tip (Make 1 for each wing):

Rnd 1: Ch2, 6sc in 2nd ch from hook (6)

Rnd 2: (2sc, 2sc in next st) x2 (8)

Rnd 3-7: sc in each st around (8)

Rnd 8: Join onto 1st bottom tip with 1sc and sc in the next 5 sts in the round. Join back onto the top

tip with 1sc, and sc in the remaining 7 sts (14)

Rnd 9: sc in each st around (14)

Rnd 10: 3sc, join onto the 2nd bottom tip with 1sc and sc in the next 5 sts around, joining back onto

the 1st bottom top with 1sc. Sc in the remaining 10 sts in the round (20)

Rnd 11: sc in each st around (20)

Rnd 12: 4sc, sc2tog x2, 12sc (18)

Rnd 13-15: sc in each st around (18)

Rnd 16: (1sc, sc2tog) x6 (12)

Rnd 17: sc2tog x6. Tie off, leaving a 10 inch tail to close any remaining hole and for sewing. Slip jacket

on monkey and position wings approximately 1cm apart. Sew through jacket and monkey to attach

wings.

Tail;

Using a 4.25mm hook

Working with Dark Grey yarn in rows. Do not stuff.

Rnd 1: Ch2, 6sc in 2nd ch from hook (6)

Rnd 2-20: sc in each st around (6)

*After Rnd 20, flatten end and 3sc across through both sides to close opening. Sew tail onto middle

of backside into Rnd 31 of body.*
