While making this amigurumi you will work in
continuous rounds, unless told otherwise. Use
a stitch maker to mark end of your rounds.

measure approximately 6.5 inches tall in a
sitting position. Size may vary, depending on
yarn type and personal yarn tension.

Instructions that need to be repeated will be
marked with brackets followed by the number
of times it needs to be repeated.

of each row, chain 1 before turning your work.
The spots come in three sizes. They are all made from the color Real Teal.

Stuff the pokeball and then close off.
For the ball’s button, cut out a small circle of
black felt and a slightly smaller circle of
white felt. Glue or needle felt the circles onto
the front of the ball with the white circle on
top of the black.

Eyes
The eyes are made from red and white felt. Use your scissors to cut out the shapes seen in the
picture below. Trim them to fit the face.

Body Spots
The body spots can either be felted on from teal felt, or they can be crocheted and sewn on. Below
are some reference pictures of crocheted spots and spot placement on the body.

Toes
Cut out six tiny triangle shapes from the white felt.

Tip: Looking at reference photos of Bulbasaur can be very helpful to help determine the best size
and spot placement on the body. Its also very helpful in getting the eye shapes to look correct.

Before we begin assembly we must give Bulbasaur’s bulb its ridges. To do this we are going to
use a long piece of yarn and weave it through the bulb to divide it into six sections. You will need
your yarn needle to do this.

Take a long piece of spring green yarn and weave it through the side of the bulb from the bottom to the top. Pull the yarn tight, it will pull in the the side of the bulb. Repeat five more times.
Top down view of what the bulb should look like when finished.

Use the provided pictures of the finished Bulbasaur as a visual aid to help guide you in the assembly
process. I recommend using pins to help plan where you want to sew parts to the body.
