About this pattern
¢ While making this amigurumi you will work in
continuous rounds, unless told otherwise. Use
a stitch maker to mark end of your rounds.
The finished amigurumi should
measure approximately 9 inches tall. Size may
vary, depending on yarn type and personal
yarn tension.
Instructions that need to be repeated will be

Front Leg

Finish off the first Leg with a slip stitch and
stuff. Do not finish off the second leg. We are
going to join the two legs together with a sc
and then continue to crochet in the round
around both legs
Join the Legs with the Body
Now we are going to crochet the legs to the
body to make them into one piece.
First we align the legs to the front of thebody as seen below.
Next, take a long piece of Pale Yellow yarn
and thread it through your yarn needle. Use
your yarn needle sew the legs and body
together. Sew through exactly 6 stitches on
the body and 6 stitches through the Legs.
Tie off and weave in the Loose ends of the
yarn you just used to sew the body and legs
together.
This should Leave you with 12 unused stitcheson the body piece and 18 unused stitches on the front Legs piece.
Now we will continue to crochet in the round
around the body and legs.

*Another note: When counting rows to check
which row you are on, count from the bottom
of the front legs up, not on the body.

Take a Look at the ear, you will notice a hole
between rounds 8 and 9. This is
from where we made a chain in round 8. Fold
the ear flat so that the hole
aligns to the side of the ear. This will make a
small notch in the ear.
Take some green yarn and use your yarn
needle to sew the hole closed along the
Length of the ear.

Forehead Leaf
This piece is crocheted in ROWS, not in the
round. Use Green.
Chain 16.
Row 1) sc into 2nd ch from hook, 4 hdc, 2 dc,
the next st, 2 dc in the next st, 3 tc in
the next stitch, 2 dc in the next st, 2 hdc in
the next st, sc, sc, sl st (21)
Finish off and weave in Loose ends.
Head Spikes
Use Pale Yellow. Make three.
Round 1) 3 sc in magic ring (3)

Finish with a slip stitch. Leave a long tail for
it
sewing. Lightly stuff the spike. Pinch the end
of the spike with your fingertips to help make
pointy.
Under-Ear Spikes
Use Pale Yellow. Make two.

Finish with a slip stitch. Leave a Long tail for
sewing. Lightly stuff the spike. Pinch the end
of the spike with your fingertips to help make

Front Leg Leaf
Use Green. Make two.
This piece is crocheted in ROWS, not in the
round.
Chain 5.
Row 1) sl st into 2nd chain from hook, sc,
hdc, hdc (4)
Finish off. Leave a long tail for sewing.
Chest Leaf
Use Green. This piece is crocheted in ROWS,
not in the round.
Chain 4.
Row 1) sl st, chain 4, working down the chain:
{sc,
hdc, hdc}, then sl st into 1st stitch from
the base of chain. Chain 3, working down the
chain: {sc, hdc}, then sl st into 1st stitch from
the base of the chain.

ASSEMBLY
Sew the head to the body.
Note: it doesn’t have to go on
straight. You can slightly turn the
head to the left or right to give
Leafeon a more interesting pose!
Sew the ears to the head.
Sew the thighs to the sides of the
Lower body. Note: the side of the
thighs with the consecutive decreases
should face the front.
Sew the back feet to the front of
the thighs.
Use the provided pictures of the finished Leafeon as a visual aid to help guide you in the assembly
process.
Sew the three head spikes to
the top of the head in between the
ears.
Sew the Under-Ear spikes to the
sides of the head, sitting just under
the ears.
Sew the chest leaf to the chest.
Then sew the leg leaves to the sides
of the legs, just above the color
change.
Sew the tail to the Lower
backside of the body.
Apply the inner ear felt pieces
the ears. Then apply the eyes and
nose to the face. You can use glue or felting needle.
